Snapsort.com A more efficient way to compare before buying your new camera!

From the direct feature comparison, to recommendation, user ratings, functionality voting and detailed comments/discussions, Snapshot.com gives a whole room of perspective when you are looking to buy a new camera body either for fun, vacation, enthusiast or professional usage: From snap-shots and super-zooms to entry-level DLRs and Full Frame cameras; even mirrorless.

With new added features, like video features and sample videos for supported cameras; still there’s room to improve for pro features that are simply left out from the equation… leaving the site as a less than viable resource if you are looking for real high-end comparison of pro-level features, and making it a more entry-level user/enthusiast that wants nice colored icons telling them which photographic camera takes better video for their vacations, and why they should buy it… which is greatly more biased from the actual camera popularity on the market than the useful experience it may give the user according to his needs.

I’m talking high features like, double-dials (or triple), lever controls, switches and direct access buttons, things that actually help in the process of “taking a photograph” instead of getting in the middle. Once you use a camera with double dials you will never look back on shifting to change aperture. Stuff like AF-assist lamp, Mirror lock-up, DOF-preview button, Tethered shooting, PC-sync port, maybe even Vertical Grip support, should really be added to the equation, so the users, at least, know that they exist and you can even explain why they are useful against assistive gimmicks like Face recognition, in-camera HDR,  or 3D panoramas… I mean photography wise.

Even with work down the road, some broken links and popularity biased recommendations (I don’t understand how it will help the user to take better pictures by bumping on some other using the Rebel T2i with both their kit lenses; at most they will nod at each other) Snapsort.com is a great site to get quick answers to you camera inquires, instead of diving deep into long reviews and personal opinions of each reviewer trying to mix and match to get a correct perspective of the camera or even the market. It gives you the option to explore the hype of the market, most sought after features, or even a learning center to get the point of most of the features described.
